Bible 70 Times 7
Question about biblically honoring your parents?
My husband and I are Christians and we are trying to honor his parents like the Bible says but their views of God and how to live your life are so far from the Bible that we can’t even have a pleasant conversation with them. They only use God for money and to get good things from him and that’s all they talk about. My husband has never really had a relationship with his parents and doesn’t really care to now but is trying to do the right thing biblically. Does anyone know what the Bible says about associating with people who you just can’t get along with? I know that you have to forgive 70 times 7 and that’s not the issue, we just cannot stand to sit and have a conversation with them. We don’t mind being cordial and meeting with them at family get togethers but do we really have to take it further than that? Please only serious answers from people who believe in God and His Word.
