Why is my born again Christian friend says it is "bad" to dress my baby on Halloween?
I have a very good friend who is a Christian born again and attend a Bible Fellowship Church. I have a one year old baby and I intend to dress for Halloween and carry it out. I love Halloween and I have lots of decorations and I like giving candy and see all the costumes. My friend says that I am committing a great sin before the Lord and the Lord sees as "bad" and that Halloween is Satan's party and should not take part in it at all. I say it's a great day for children to be children and play. What do you think???
Your friend is an idiot trial. Dressing up for Halloween is a fun thing for kids to do, and not a sin. Halloween was originally a pagan festival Ireland that the greeting card companies of America took over as an excuse to make money. Back in biblical times there was not Halloween, and if Jesus were alive today, would probably be more interested in all the shooting going on in the hood. It is a sin to worship the devil or kill people, not to wear costumes fun and eat candy. Let your child enjoy being a child. Tell your friend to mind your own business!
