Bible References In Songs
A question for biblical scholars about the tribulation …?
This is a difficult question, so I hope that some scholars the Bible on Yahoo Answers. There is an old song of the Great Tribulation to come that says "A piece of bread to buy a bag of gold." Somewhere in The Bible contains a verse that says something very similar, in reference to a time of severe shortages of food and therefore would be very expensive. Does anyone know the exact reference? That could be her, the Queen. I looked at that verse in a Bible with commentary, and say that prices are listed in verse 8 times the regular rates at the time of its writing, indicating that the food would be expensive at the time of famine. So I guess that is the verse. Thank you.
