For Christians – How long was Noah in the boat with the animals?
This is part of the Bible that I never paid much attention to … to help me. When children ask how all the animals fit on a ship that must have been bigger than Texas, what do you say? When asked if insects as the worms were arrested, what do you say? When the kiddies ask how much food is needed? "Noah has major ports on all continents, when the flood was more than appropriate animal could put in their respective areas of climate?
The Bible says Noah's ark was about 370 days (this was a lunar year of Noah and 10 days). Reaching that number has to do with counting when the waters were on earth, how old Noah was when he entered into the ark, and how long it took for the water to evaporate and real, when the mountains began to appear. If you can show that the Scriptures in the Bible and What exact line of reasoning that I have that proves it. And the Bible gives the measures of the Ark was more than a football field and 3 stories high! (Genesis 6:15,16) As for worms and insects, many might have survived the flood without being in the ark. But also, within the breeding grounds, many insects and even birds and mammals, could have produced a variety of species within themselves. Like the variety of human beings (blonde hair, blue eyes, freckles, skin dark, etc) would not have enough space to store food for all animals. As for the amount needed, which would have been determined by the number of animals. The Bible does not mention anything like that. It would make sense if the animals would spread as they multiplied, like humans did.
